Curriculum & Learning Activities
Our Infant curriculum is designed to Observe, Understand and Celebrate children Milestones. Our P I N method is a meaningful way to document and measure each child: a) Individual Accomplishments b) Infant and Toddler’s Growth c) Areas of difficulty d) Approaches to Learning f) Temperament: -How Active is the child: Kicking, Crawling, Climbing -Sleeping & Eating Habit -How does he/she respond to people or new things -Daily Mood -Is he/she easily distracted?
In assessing Infants & Toddlers development, our Program focuses on 3 major components
1) Observation Record: Where the caregiver observes and document children’s everyday behaviors and provides data for recording evaluation (P I N Method)
2) Family Album: Our Assessment Portfolio provides a structure for our Caregivers to learn about and record the child’s development.
3) Developmental Profile: Enables caregivers and other staff to evaluate each child’s development and progress overtime, comparing their observation data to specific developmental standards or developmental milestones from birth to 2Yrs.
The Infants & Toddlers curriculum also focuses on fundamental skills development that will foster Self-awareness, Independence and Positive Social skills to increase their ability to participate in a group situation. This will be accomplished in a warm, safe, supportive environment with a balance of structured activities and free play indoors and outdoors. Children will be introduced to Art through the use of hands-on open -ended crafts designed to allow for exploration and creativity
