3 Year Old Program

Our 3yrs Old Classroom: The Rising Sun & The Great Beginners
Where Learning Begins, Hands on Activities

Our three years old curriculum focus on fundamental skills that foster Social/Emotional development, Independence and Positive self help skills to increase their ability to actively participate in a larger group setting; this will be accomplished in a warm, safe, supportive environment with a balance of structured activities and free play (indoors & outdoors).

Our goal is to fully prepare the whole child in all areas of development: Socially, Cognitively, Physically, & Gross & Fine motor skills development; “(Leaving No Child Behind)” in order to successfully transition into our Pre-K Program. Children will be introduced to Art through the use of hands on open-ended crafts designed to allow for exploration and creativity, which will provide great learning experiences for each child as we prepare them for early learning and school readiness skills.

The following on-going activities and concepts are incorporated in our daily activities plan while preparing your child for our Pre-K program. We encourage each child to enjoy these activities at his or her own pace. Activities that are developed through the MCPS Curriculum (2.0) with an emphasis on Letters/Numbers/Shapes/ Colors/ and Language Skills will prepare 3yrs Olds for our Pre-K program & eventually your child will mastered skills for the Public or Private schools systems.
